Both Andru and Irini are very nice children. Irini didn’t have any problems to settle in at all. She is a very outgoing girl and made friends straight away. Her English is also very good which probably made it a bit easier for her to fully integrate. Andru needed a bit more time to settle in and I feel that the main issue was that his dad is so worried about him being away from home for the first time which resulted in him being constantly on the phone with Andru. I know it is hard to tell parents, but Andru would really benefit from not having that much contact with his dad especially now that he made such good progress in terms of settling in. He is getting along very well with his English room made and is enjoying the lessons and activities but he is still constantly on the phone with his dad.

Irini just seems to be absolutely happy. Originally we planned to place her in a room with an English girl, but she made friends with two German girls on the way from the airport to camp and the three are getting along so well that they decided to share a room together.

On Easter Sunday we had our Easter celebrations including an Easter Egg Hunt and lots of group games and challenges which was a good opportunity to get to know the other children.

On top of that Irini went for Quad Biking, Arts & Crafts, Hockey and Climbing. Andru chose to do Quad Biking, Archery, Hockey, Computing, Picture Rallye. They also joined in our Mini Olympics. I spoke to the teachers as well and they said that Irini and Andru also enjoy being in lessons. Today they are on a full day trip to Cambridge including a boat trip on the river Camp along all the historic colleges.

Andru has settled in well now and he is not spending that much time on the phone anymore which is good. He became friends with his English room mate Hardik and they are seen together most of the time.
